The classification of affine hyperspheres with affine metric of constant sectional curvature has a long tradition. In the convex case the classification was done in [\textit{L. Vrancken} et al., Math. Z. 206, No. 4, 651--658 (1991; Zbl 0721.53014)]. The indefinite case (problem of L. Vrancken) is still open. The cases \(n=2\) and \(n=3\) where solved by \textit{U. Simon} [Differ. Geom. Appl. 1, No. 2, 123--132 (1991; Zbl 0784.53002)] and \textit{F. Dillen} et al. [in: Geometry and topology of submanifolds X. Proceedings of the conference on differential geometry in honor of Prof. S. S. Chern and the workshop on PDEs and submanifolds. Singapore: World Scientific. 31--53 (2000; Zbl 0996.53005)] respectively. While an affine hypersphere with constant sectional curvature and non-vanishing Pick invariant is homogeneous under unimodular affine transformations, this is not necessarily so in case of vanishing Pick invariant. In the present paper the author gives a classification of locally homogeneous affine hyperspheres with constant sectional curvature, vanishing Pick invariant and the difference tensor satisfying \(K^{n-1}\neq 0\) for \(n\leq 5\). It turns out, that in the cases \(n=4,5\) there are solutions beside the \textit{generalized Cayley surfaces}, constructed by \textit{M. Eastwood} and \textit{V. Ezhov} [Proc. Steklov Inst. Math. 253, 221--224 (2006; Zbl 1351.53014)].
