Margulis Lemmas without curvature (Q2909997)

In the classical Margulis lemma, from information about the sectional curvature of a Riemannian manifold, one gets information about the injectivity radius. As the author explains, these informations are quite sensitive to deformations of the metric. Therefore, the author addresses the following question: is it possible to formulate a new version of the Margulis lemma where one can avoid the curvature assumptions? It is shown in Theorem 4.1 that the answer is positive and the required assumptions are now related to the volume entropy and the first fundamental group.
