    \textit{D. D. Anderson} and \textit{A. M. Frazier} initiated in their paper [Rocky Mt. J. Math. 41, No. 3, 663--705 (2011; Zbl 1228.13001)], a generalized factorization theory for an arbitrary commutative integral domains \(D\) by introducing the concept of a \(\tau\)-\textit{factorization,} where \(\tau\) is binary relation on the set \(D^\#\) of all nonzero noninvertible elements of \(D\), i.e., a subset of \(D^\#\times D^\#\). This theory, that includes most of the previously studied cases of factorizations, has been extended from commutative integral domains to commutative rings with zero-divisors by \textit{C. P. Mooney} in his paper [Houston J. Math. 41, No. 1, 15--32 (2015; Zbl 1365.13003)]. In the paper under review, the authors study the \(\,\tau_n\)-factorization in the ring \(R=\mathbb{Z}/m\mathbb{Z}\), where \(n\) is a positive integer and \(\tau_n\) is the binary relation on \(R\) defined by \(x\) \(\tau_n\) \(y\Longleftrightarrow x-y\in nR\).
