The authors present a matrix method based on second kind Chebyshev polynomials (SKCP) for solving time-fractional diffusion-wave equations using a spectral method. They first present some preliminaries in fractional calculus and give some basic properties of SKCPs. Also, the authors introduce operational matrices of bivariate shifted SKCPs required for their numerical method. Examples are given to illustrate the theory discussed.
