In the paper under review, the authors discuss the solvability of the Neumann problem for the Kohn-Laplacian \(L_0\) in the Korányi ball \(B\) on the Heisenberg group \(\mathbb{H}_n\), i.e., of \[ \begin{alignedat}{2} L_0u &=f \quad &\mathrm{in }&B, \\ \partial^{\perp}u& =g \quad & \mathrm{on }&\partial B,\end{alignedat} \] where \(\partial^{\perp}\) is an operator which plays the role of the normal derivative. First, they introduce the problem and prove uniqueness up to constants for the Neumann problem. Next, they define the corresponding single- and double-layer potentials and prove analogues of the classical properties of layer potentials. Then, they study the boundary integral operators, prove a solvability condition and show a representation formula for the solution of the inhomogeneous Neumann problem. The authors also provide a Neumann function for the Laplacian over the Korányi ball, which is constructed by means of the fundamental solution for the Laplacian, the Kelvin transform, and spherical harmonics.
