The author proves the solvability of a boundary value problem for a system of second-order linear partial differential equations describing the equilibrium of an elastic anisotropic inhomogeneous body occupying an arbitrary simply connected domain \(V\subset\mathbb{R}^3\) \[ \sigma^{kj}_{x_j}+X_k=0,\quad k=1,2,3, \eqno{(1)} \] where \[ \sigma^{kj}_{x_j}=B^{kjnm}\varepsilon_{nm},\; n\leq m, \; k,j=1,2,3, \] \[ \varepsilon_{jj}=u_{jx_j},\; \varepsilon_{jk}=u_{jx_k}+u_{kx_j},j\neq k,\;k,j=1,2,3, \] the \(B^{kjnm}=B^{kjnm}(x)\) are given functions of the variable \(x=(x_1,x_2,x_3)\) satisfying the conditions \(B^{kjnm}=B^{nmkj}=B^{jknm}\), and \(x_1,x_2,x_3\) are the coordinates of a point \(x\) in the domain \(V\). Here the \(\sigma^{kj} = \sigma^{jk}\) are the stress components, the \(\varepsilon_{jk} = \varepsilon_{kj}\) are the strain components, \(u = (u_1, u_2, u_3)\) is the displacement vector of points of the elastic body, the \(B^{kjnm}\) are elastic characteristics of the body, and the \(X_k, k = 1, 2, 3,\) are the components of the external forces applied to the elastic body. The used method consists on the reduction of the original system of equations to a system of 3D singular integral equations, whose solvability can be proved with the use of the notion of symbol of a singular operator.
