This paper is concerned with the analysis of the influence of a partial premixing between fuel and oxidizer at one of the boundaries of a porous walls channel. The mathematical formulation of this problem is performed by means of a constant-density thermodiffusive model under a single-step irreversible chemical reaction. The main purpose of the analysis carried out in this paper is to examine the influence of the partial premixing between the reactants at one of the boundaries on the triple flame characteristics. The basic tool for solving the governing equations is the finite element method. The study developed in this paper shows that the flame structure and characteristics such as its speed and maximum temperature are modified in a substantial way in the presence of premixing. Several numerical simulations illustrate the main results.
