The covariogram of a finite subset \(K\) of \(\mathbb R ^d\) is the function where on \(\mathbb R^d\) the value at \(u\) equals the cardinality of \(K\cap (K+u)\). Two sets in \(\mathbb R^d\) are said to be homometric if their covariogram functions coincide. Two homometric sets in \(\mathbb R^d\) are called nontrivially homometric if they do not coincide up to translations and point reflections. In this paper, the authors study pairs of nontrivially homometric lattice-convex sets (which are the intersections of lattices with convex sets). They establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the lattice-convexity of the direct \(S\oplus T\) where \(T\) is a sublattice of the lattice and \(S\) is a subset of this lattice. Further, the authors present explicit results in dimension 2 and various examples in dimension greater than 2.
