The authors analyse electromagnetic scattering at discontinuities between equilateral triangular waveguides. They consider the quasi-analytical mode-matching method in view to obtain a consequent flexible mathematical formulation based on plane waves (allowing significant simplifications on the associated surface integrals). Three concrete cases are solved and compared, at different frequencies, with the results given by a commercial software.
