The paper under review is a contribution to the project whose goal is a proof of the main counting conjectures in representation theory by making heavy use of classification of the finite simple groups. In [J. Reine Angew. Math. 680, 153--189 (2013; Zbl 1283.20006)], the second author had reduced the proof of the Alperin-McKay conjecture to a collection of properties of simple groups called the inductive Alperin-McKay conditions. Similarly, she had reduced the proof of the blockwise version of Alperin's weight conjecture to a collection of properties of simple groups called the inductive blockwise Alperin weight conditions [J. Group Theory 16, No. 2, 159--220 (2013; Zbl 1282.20010)]. In the present paper, the authors first verify the inductive blockwise Alperin weight conditions in the case of nilpotent blocks. Then, they verify the inductive Alperin-McKay conditions for blocks with cyclic defect groups of odd order. Finally, they use this result in order to verify the inductive blockwise Alperin weight conditions, also for blocks with cyclic defect groups of odd order.
