The paper is concerned with the following \(p\)-Laplacian equation: \[ -\Delta_p u + V(x) |u|^{p-2}u = f(x,u), \quad x\in \mathbb{R}^N, \quad p\in (1,N), \] where \(V(x) \in C(\mathbb{R}^N)\cap L^\infty (\mathbb{R}^N)\) and bounded below by a positve number. By using a version of the linking theorem, the authors prove the existence of infinitely many solutions for the above equation under some condtions on \( f(x,u)\) which may fail to satisfy the usual Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz superlineat condition. Moreover, the authors assert that they develop a new technique to show the boundedness and compactness of the Cerami sequences in \(W^{1,p}(\mathbb{R}^N)\).
