A transient eddy current problem on a moving domain. Numerical analysis (Q314448)

This paper is concerned with the study of the transient eddy current problem in connection with the modeling of electromagnetic phenomena arising in the axisymmetric case. After the magnetic vector potential formulation, the authors recall some basic results about well-posedness and some smoothness properties of the solutions. Then the finite element space discretization is introduced and error estimates are obtained. A backward Euler scheme for time discretization is used to establish error estimates for the fully discrete problem. Numerical simulations illustrate some of the results obtained.
