This work presents explicit calculations of bifurcation proprieties for the two-variable system, which can be transformed to the classical generalized Selkov model by rescaling of variables and constants. For this reason, it does not contain any sufficiently new scientific information: i) a rescaling does not change qualitative properties of any dynamical system; ii) arbitrary values of the power indices in the autocatalytic term considered do not correspond to any reasonable chemical kinetics (in contrast to the original Selkov model, where they take integer values); iii) even mathematically, the linearization, which is required for the stability analysis, give the same expressions (they differ by numerical values of constants only but not qualitatively).
