The authors apply the classical Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz-Mountain Pass Theorem to establish the existence of at least two weak solutions to the following boundary value problem for a nonuniformly elliptic system \[ -\Delta_p u-\operatorname{div}(h_1(|\nabla u|^p)|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u)=F_u(x,u,v)\text{ in }\Omega, \] \[ -\Delta_q u-\operatorname{div}(h_2(|\nabla v|^q)|\nabla v|^{q-2}\nabla v)=F_v(x,u,v)\text{ in }\Omega, \] where \(\Omega\) is a smooth bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^N\), \(p,q\in [2,+\infty)\) with \(q\geq p\), \(h_1,h_2\in C(\mathbb{R}_+,\mathbb{R}_+)\) are bounded nondecreasing functions with \(\inf_{\mathbb{R}_+}h_1>0\), \(\inf_{\mathbb{R}_+}h_2>0\), and \(F:\Omega\times \mathbb{R}^2\rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) is a \(C^1\)-function such that \(F(x,0,0)=0\) and satisfying certain growth conditions at \(0\) and at \(\infty\).
