The authors give results about strong solvability of the Cauchy-Neumann problem for second-order linear parabolic equations with discontinuous principal coefficients, satisfying the Cordes condition. What is surprising is that results of this kind are very well known since more than 40 years by the works of \textit{A. Maugeri} [Matematiche 27, 87--93 (1972; Zbl 0262.35026)]; Matematiche 29, 249--262 (1975; Zbl 0318.35043); Ric. Mat. 27, 223--233 (1978; Zbl 0406.35033)].
