New inequalities for the \(p\)-angular distance in normed spaces with applications (Q318110)

The main result of the paper consists of an inequality involving the \(p\)-angular distance of two vectors in a normed linear space that improves an earlier result by \textit{J. Maligranda} [Am. Math. Mon. 113, No. 3, 256--260 (2006; Zbl 1135.51018)] by adding some intermediate estimations. As a generalization, estimations of a more general distance defined by means of power series functions are given, too.
