Given a topological space \(X\), it is said that \(x\in X\) is \textit{a weak \(P\)-point of \(X\)} if \(x\notin \overline A\) whenever \(A\subset X\setminus \{x\}\) is a countable set. If for every \(G_\delta\)-subset \(P\) of \(X\) such that \(x\in P\), the point \(x\) belongs to the interior of \(P\), then \(x\) is called a \textit{\(P\)-point of \(X\).} The authors study the space \(C_k(\omega^*,\omega^*)\) of continuous maps from \(\omega^*=\beta \omega\setminus\omega\) into itself endowed with the compact-open topology. They show that \(C_k(\omega^*,\omega^*)\) is not an \(F\)-space but has no nontrivial convergent sequences; recall that \(X\) is an \(F\)-space if every cozero subset of \(X\) is \(C^*\)-embedded in \(X\). It is also established that the space \(C_k(\omega^*,\omega^*)\) has the Baire property and a dense set of weak \(P\)-points. However, it is independent of ZFC whether \(C_k(\omega^*,\omega^*)\) has a \(P\)-point.
