The set of all subspaces of a finite vector space over \(\mathrm{GF}(q)\) becomes a metric space if one defines the distance between two subspaces \(U\) and \(U'\) by \(d_s(U,U')=\dim (U+U')-\dim (U\cap U')\). A collection of subspaces \(\mathcal C\) is called a constant dimension subspace code if all elements of \(\mathcal C\) have the same dimension. Using the geometry of quadrics of a projective plane \(\mathrm{PG}(2,q)\) and the Veronese map, the authors present a purely geometrical construction of a family of constant dimension subspace codes \(\mathcal C\) of a six dimensional vector space over \(\mathrm{GF}(q)\). All elements of \(\mathcal C\) are of dimension three and any two of them are at distance four. The code \(\mathcal C\) contains \(q^3(q^2-1)(q-1)/3+(q^2+1)(q^2+q+1)\) elements and admits a Singer cyclic group as automorphism group.
