Linear two-dimensional integral-algebraic equations are discomposed into a system of two-dimensional Volterra integral equations consisting of second-kind and first-kind equations. In this purpose, the \(\upsilon\)-smoothing property of one-dimensional Volterra integral operators is firstly extended for two-dimensional integral-algebraic equations, and then some projectors are used for the decoupling of the integral equations. The approximate solution of the system of two-dimensional Volterra integral equations is obtained by applying a collocation method based on scaled Chebyshev polynomials for interpolating two-variable functions and using corresponding Chebyshev-Gauss collocation points. The global convergence of the method is obtained showing an ``exponential-convergence'' rate for smooth solutions. The error is expressed in the norm of \(L_{w}^{2}\)-spaces. The reliability and efficiency of this spectral method are illustrated on three numerical experiments testing the convergence rate and showing its better accuracy by comparison with the implicit Euler method. The exponential rate of convergence stated in the global convergence theorem is confirmed.
