The paper presents a construction of anisotropic biorthogonal wavelets, which yield Riesz bases for divergence free vector fields of the Sobolev space \(H^k\) on the \(n\)-dimensional hypercube. The basis functions have local support and satisfy general homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. Thus, slip and no-slip conditions can be imposed. The construction is based on the principle of commutation between projectors and derivation operators of wavelets introduced by \textit{P. G. LemariƩ-Rieusset} [Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 8, No. 2, 221--237 (1992; Zbl 0874.42022)]. For the square, isotropic wavelet bases, i.e. single scale wavelets, can be obtained, however for \(n\geq 3\) anisotropic bases are found. The latter have the advantage that the best possible convergence rate is obtained, independently of \(n\).
