The description of the Tarski number of groups remained unknown for years. It was an open question if there exist groups with Tarski numbers 5 and 6. The cardinality of the set of Tarski numbers was also unknown (see [\textit{T. Ceccherini-Silberstein} et al., Proc. Steklov Inst. Math. 224. No. 1, 57--97 (1999; Zbl 0968.43002)]). These questions were answered in [\textit{M. Ershov} et al., Adv. Math. 284, 21--53 (2015; Zbl 1327.43002)]. Some explanations about the possible values of Tarski numbers, for example of the groups containing non-abelian finite rank free groups, torsion groups and non-cyclic free Burnside groups of odd exponent \(\geq\) 665 are given in [Ceccherini-Silberstein et al., loc. cit.]. In the present paper, the author considers group actions. She proves that for every integer \(k\geq 4\) there exists a faithful transitive action of a finitely generated free group of Tarski number \(k\). Constructing a group action of Tarski number 6 with respect to a free group \(F\) of rank 3, she shows that the restrictions of this action to finite index subgroups of \(F\) have arbitrarily large Tarski numbers. Finally, the author presents a procedure to construct a group action of a given Tarski number.
