Minkowski sum of polytopes and its normality (Q329664)

In this paper the author considers the normality or the integer decomposition property for Minkowski sums of integral convex polytopes (namely the existence of decomposition of every integer points in the interior of every \(k\)-dilate of a polytope into the sum of \(k\) integer points in the interior of the polytope itself). Further some properties on the toric rings associated with Minkowski sums of integral convex polytopes are discussed. The author also studies Minkowski sums of edge polytopes and gives a sufficient condition for Minkowski sums of edge polytopes to have the integer decomposition property.
