A family of two-point fourth-order methods (optimal), three-point sixth-order methods and four-point twelfth-order methods using weight functions is proposed. The new family of methods requires only three evaluations per iterative step to obtain the fourth-order method, four evaluations per iterative step to get the sixth-order and five evaluations per iterative step to get the twelfth-order method.
