In the paper under review, the authors investigate the compressible-incompressible scenario in the context of stochastically driven fluids. In particular, they are concerned with the Navier-Stokes system for an isentropic compressible viscous fluid driven by a multiplicative stochastic forcing and they study the asymptotic behavior of solutions in the low Mach number regime. Their approach is based on the concept of finite energy weak martingale solutions to the compressible Navier-Stokes system. Furthermore, it is based on uniform bounds derived from a stochastic analogue of the modulated energy inequality and on a careful analysis of acoustic waves. The bibliography contains 27 comparable new items (published after 2000) and gives an appropriate overview.
