Analysis of nonlinear poro-elastic and poro-visco-elastic models (Q338119)

The paper provides theoretical and numerical investigation for a nonlinear system of partial differential equations. These equations often occur in the study of fluid flow through elastic or viscoelastic porous material. It has been shown that viscoelasticity plays a dominant role in determining the solution. In fact the solutions are more smooth in this case. The numerical schemes have been developed for confirming the theoretical predictions. It should be taken as author's first attempt ``to combine in a novel cross-disciplinary unified frame work the theoretical analysis of nonlinear models in Continuum Mechanics, the development of multi-field Finite Element discretization schemes and the computer simulation of the Mechanobiological properties of Tissues and Materials.''
