We say that a space is \(\text{RCD}(K,N)\) if it is \(\text{RCD}(K,\infty) \) and satisfies the (reduced) curvature-dimension condition \(\text{CD}^*(K,N)\). The main result of the paper is the proof of the counterpart of Brenier-McCann's theorem about the existence of a unique optimal map for each pair of Borel probability measures with finite second moment. Moreover, the optimal plan is induced by a map and concentrated on a non-branching set of geodesics. The existence of the optimal plan \(\pi\) follows from Corollary 1.4 in [the second and the third author, Calc. Var. Partial Differ. Equ. 50, No. 3--4, 831--846 (2014; Zbl 1296.53088)]. To show the uniqueness of \(\pi\) and the fact that \(\pi\) is induced by a map, the authors apply techniques similar to these presented in [the first author, Geom. Funct. Anal. 22, No. 4, 990--999 (2012; Zbl 1257.53055)]. As the most important corollary of the main result, the authors show the local-to-global property of being \(\text{RCD}^*(K,N)\) space.
