    This monograph is devoted to methods for robust control of oscillatory-base manipulators. After presenting the problem formulation, the base oscillation models and the experimental apparatus, an \(H_\infty\) control approach is described and discussed in detail. Moreover a sliding mode control methodology is illustrated. A detailed comparison among these two main approaches and other control methods is discussed. Extensive material about control tests and simulations is included.
