A new regularity criterion for solutions \(u\) to Navier-Stokes equation was deduced in terms of some exponential control on the rate of change of div \((\frac{u}{|u|})\) along the streamlines of \(u\) and some weak \(L^\alpha\) space condition imposed on \(u\). Moreover, through the use of geometric languages, the authors gave some sufficient mathematical conditions on possible isolated blow-up phenomena for a given divergence free velocity field \(u\) within a stream-tube segment. In particular, the geometric conditions or characterizations for \(u\) demonstrate the possible way in which excessive twisting of streamlines towards the ending cross section of the stream-tube can result in the blow up of the quantities \(\|u\|_{L^{\alpha}}\) with \(\alpha\in(2,3)\) and \(\|\text{div}(\frac{u}{|u|})\|_{L^6}\) while simultaneously preserving the finite energy property \(u\in L^2(\mathbb{R}^3)\).
