The operator generated in \(L_{2}({\mathbb R})\) by the second order differential equation \[ -y^2+p(x)y'+q(x)y, \quad y\in {\mathbb R} \] and \(p\), \(q\) complex-valued functions is studied. Under certain conditions on \(\mathrm{Re} \;q(x)\) and \(\mathrm{Im} \;q(x)\), properties of the generated operator are briefly presented.
