Orthorecursive expansion (ORE) is a generalization of the Fourier expansion in a Hilbert space. ORE was introduced by \textit{T. P. Lukashenko} [Mosc. Univ. Math. Bull. 56, No. 1, 5--9 (2001); translation from Vestn. Mosk. Univ., Ser. I 2001, No. 1, 6--10 (2001; Zbl 1023.42014)]. In the present paper, the author gives an interesting criterion for the convergence of an ORE in terms of the Gram matrix.
