    Let \(m\) be a positive integer, \(M = \{ 1, 2,\dots, m\}\), and \({\mathcal V} = V_1 \times V_2 \times \cdots \times V_m\), where \(V_1 , V_2 ,\dots, V_m\) are rational vector spaces. Given \(g : {\mathcal V} \to W\) let \(J_g : {\mathcal V}^2 \to W\) be defined by \[ J_f (x, y) = g\left ({{x+y} \over 2} \right ) - {1 \over {2^m}} \sum_{S \subseteq M} g( x_S + y_{M\setminus S} ) . \] The main result of this paper is the following: Let \(W\) be a Banach space and assume that \(\phi : {\mathcal V}^2 \to [0, \infty )\) satisfies \(\lim_{n \to \infty} 2^{-n} \phi (2^n x , 2^n y) = 0 \,\, \text{and} \,\, \sum_{n=1}^{\infty} 2^{-2n} \phi (2^n x, 0 ) < \infty \) for all \(x, y \in {\mathcal V}\). Then, given \(f : {\mathcal V} \to W\) such that \(\| J_f (x, y)\| \leq \phi (x, y) \) for all \(x, y \in {\mathcal V}\), there is some \(g : {\mathcal V} \to W\) such that \(J_g = 0\) and \[ \|f(x) - g(x)\| \leq \Phi (x) = \sum_{\emptyset \neq U \subseteq M} 2^{|U|} \sum_{i=1}^{\infty} 2^{-i} \phi (2^i x_U, 0) \] for all \(x \in {\mathcal V}\), where \(|U|\) denotes the cardinality of the set \(U\). Moreover, if \(h: {\mathcal V} \to W\) satifies \(J_h = 0\) and \(\|f(x)-h(x)\| \leq \Phi(x)\) for all \(x \in {\mathcal V}\), then \(h-g\) is constant. The author also proves the following interesting completeness result: Let \({\mathcal V} \neq \{0\}\) and \(W\) be a Banach space. Assume that \(\epsilon >0\) is such that for all \(f : {\mathcal V} \to W\) with \(\|J_f (x, y) \| \leq \epsilon\) for all \(x, y \in {\mathcal V}\), there is some \(g : {\mathcal V} \to W\) with \(J_g = 0\) and bounded difference \(f-g\). Then \(W\) must be complete a Banach space.
