The book is one of the best texts in special relativity designed for readers between the college-level and advanced level. The author is giving a book which recollects sometimes the best books published during the 60-th and the beginning of 70-th in special relativity and gravitation. A number of useful and new examples is added at the end of every chapter of the book. They are solved at the end of the book. A very useful table of constants is added at the end of the book. The content of the book is as follows: 1)~Lorentz transformations, 2)~Time and space coordinates and the 4-dimensional world, 3)~Formalism of tensors, 4)~The concept of causality, 5)~Equivalence between mass and energy, 6)~Relativistic optics, 7)~Measurements in Minkowski space-time, 8)~Matter in Minkowski space-time, 9)~Energy-momentum tensor of continuous media and its covariant conservation, 10)~Angular momentum, 11)~Covariant description of a perfect fluid, 12)~Scalar field (Klein-Gordon equation), 13)~Maxwell equations. The book represents one of the best conspects in special relativity and is useful for professors of special relativity. It is good for students and every other reader. It could be recommended for translation.
