This book opts for a rather ``down to earth'' view on philosophy of mathematics in arguing that any unified philosophy for the whole of mathematics is unsatisfactory and fails to philosophically reflect mathematics as it is done in reality. Instead of presenting any unique philosophical paradigm to subsume all of mathematics under it, the author supports the view that there should be a plurality of philosophical approaches toward (aspects of) mathematics which, in its sum, offer a true philosophical understanding of what mathematics is and how it is (has to be) done. As interesting such an approach is in itself, as unsatisfactory it is in providing nothing but a reflection of the actual state of the art in mathematics and abstaining to offer any orientation how to philosophically evaluate mathematical developments.
