    Let \(H(\mathbb{D})\) denote the space of holomorphic functions on the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\). For \(\alpha\in\mathbb{R}\), the logarithmic Bloch space \(L^{\alpha}\mathcal{B}(\mathbb{D})\) consists of those \(f\in H(\mathbb{D})\) for which \[ \|f\|_{L^{\alpha}\mathcal{B}(\mathbb{D})}=|f(0)|+\sup_{z\in\mathbb{D}} |f'(z)|(1-|z|^{2})\left(\log\frac{e}{1-|z|^{2}}\right)^{\alpha}< \infty. \] Let \(\alpha<\frac{1}{2}\) and let \(0<p<\infty\). The author constructs test functions \(F_x\in L^{\alpha}\mathcal{B}(\mathbb{D})\), \(0\leq x\leq 1\), such that \(\|F_x\|_{L^{\alpha}\mathcal{B}(\mathbb{D})}\leq 1\) and \[ \left(\int\limits_0^{1}|F_x(z)|^p\, dx\right)^{\frac{1}{p}}\geq\tau_{p, \alpha} \left(\log\frac{1}{1-|z|^2}\right)^{\frac{1}{2}-\alpha}, \quad z \in\mathbb{D}, \] for a constant \(\tau_{p, \alpha}>0\). It is shown that the exponent \(\frac{1}{2}-\alpha\) is sharp. The test functions \(F_x\) are used to study the composition operators \(C_\varphi: L^{\alpha}\mathcal{B}(\mathbb{D}) \to \mathrm{BMOA}(\mathbb{D})\).
