The starting point for this paper is a positive result of \textit{N. Y. Antonov} [East J. Approx. 2, No. 2, 187--196 (1996; Zbl 0919.42004)], stating that the Fourier series of a function \(f\) in the class \(L\ln^+L\ln^+\ln^+\ln^+L ([0,2\pi])\) is a.e. convergent to \(f\). An analogous result for the Walsh system in the Paley enumeration was obtained by \textit{P. Sjölin} and \textit{F. Soria} [Stud. Math. 158, No. 1, 79--97 (2003; Zbl 1053.42005)]. One year after \textit{S. V. Bochkarev} [Russ. Math. Surv. 59, No. 1, 103--124 (2004); translation from Usp. Mat. Nauk 59, No. 1, 103--124 (2004; Zbl 1052.42024)] proved that for any function \(F\) such that \[ F(u)=u f(u)\,,\, f:[0,+\infty)\to{{\mathbb{R}}} \,,\,\text{\(f\) non decreasing and continuous, } \] \[ f(0)=1\,,\, f(u)=o(\sqrt{\log u})\text{ for } u\to +\infty\,,\tag{H} \] there exists a function \(G\in F(L)\) with Fourier-Walsh-Paley series everywhere divergent on \([0,1 )\). The paper under review contains a result in this direction. More precisely, the author proves that, if \(F\) satisfies assumption (H) and \(\{\chi_n\}\) is a system obtained from the Walsh system by some Schipp's permutation, then there exists a function \({G\in F(L)}\), such that its Fourier series over the rearranged Walsh system is everywhere divergent on \([0,1)\).
