The study of connected holonomy groups and the study of holonomy algebras are equivalent. For a Lorentzian manifold of dimension \(n+2\geq 4\), the holonomy algebra is contained in the Lorentzian Lie algebra \(\mathfrak{so}(1,n+1)\). Again for a Riemannian manifold \(\mathfrak h \subset\mathfrak{so}(n)\). In the present paper the author considers the pseudo-Riemannian case and compares the obtained result with the Lorentzian and Riemannian case. Here the author proves that for any subalgebra \(\mathfrak h \subset\mathfrak{so}(r,s)\), the algebra \(g^h\) is the holonomy algebra of a pseudo-Riemannian manifold of signature \((r+2, s+2)\).
