A group \(G\) is called generalized \(3\)-Abelian, if there exist elements \(c_1,c_2,c_3\in G\) such that the map \(\varphi\colon x\mapsto x^{c_1}x^{c_2}x^{c_3}\) is an endomorphism of \(G\). In [\textit{A. Abdollahi, B. Daoud} and \textit{G. Endimioni}, Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. - Simon Stevin 13, No. 2, 287-294 (2006; Zbl 1134.20020)] it is proved that a generalized \(3\)-Abelian group \(G\) is nilpotent of class at most \(10\). The authors of the paper under review improve the bound to \(3\) and it also is shown that the exponent of the derived subgroup \([G,G]\) of \(G\) divides \(9\) and the third term \(\gamma_3(G)\) of the lower central series of \(G\) has exponent dividing \(3\). The methods of proof is to use the nilpotent quotient algorithm to find the exact nilpotency class of an arbitrary generalized \(3\)-Abelian group. The authors use NQ-package of \textit{W. Nickel} [NQ, A refereed GAP 4 package (1998), implemented in The GAP Group, GAP -- Groups, Algorithms, and Programming. \url{http://www.gap-system.org}]. It is also proved that \(G\) is \(3\)-Levi and \(9\)-Abelian, where for a positive integer \(n\), a group \(G\) is called \(n\)-Abelian (\(n\)-Levi) if \((xy)^n=x^ny^n\) (\([x,y^n]=[x,y]^n\), respectively) for all \(x,y\in G\). The authors also prove that the group \(G\) is \(3\)-nilpotent of class at most \(2\) and the exponent of its \(3\)-derived subgroup divides \(3\). To find the definitions of \(n\)-nilpotent and \(k\)-derived subgroup we refer the reader to the paper.
