\loadmsbm The author considers the Taylor formula for functions of several variables and gives estimates of the remainder of Taylor's formula for functions of several variables along a rectifiable curve. More precisely, setting \[ \varphi_r(x,\xi)=\sum_{\left| \alpha \right| \leq r} \frac{(x-\xi)^\alpha}{\alpha!} D^\alpha f(\xi) \] and \(\delta^i=(\delta_1^i,\delta_2^i,\ldots, \delta_n^i)\), where \(\delta_j^i\) is the Kronecker symbol, the author first proves the following result. Let \(\Omega\) be a domain of \(\mathbb R^n\) and let \(f: \Omega\to\mathbb R\) be a function of class \(\mathcal{C}^r\) for some integer \(r>1\). Take a rectifiable curve \(\eta: [0,1]\to \Omega\) connecting the two points \(\xi=\eta(0)\) and \(x=\eta(1)\). Then \[ \begin{aligned} f(x)&=\varphi_{r-1}(x,\xi)+\int_0^1 \sum_{i=1}^n \left\{\sum_{\left| \alpha\right|=r-1} D^{\alpha+\delta_i} f(\eta(t))\frac{[x-\eta(t)]^\alpha}{\alpha!}\right\}\, d\eta_i(t),\\ f(x)&=\varphi_{r-1}(x,\xi)-\int_0^1 \sum_{\left| \alpha\right|=r} D^\alpha f(\eta(t))\frac{1}{\alpha!} d[x-\eta(t)]^\alpha. \end{aligned} \] The integrals are understood in the sense of Stieltjes. This result is then followed by four corollaries mostly dealing with estimates for the remainder term. The second theorem has the same assumptions as the first. It provides the estimate \[ \left| f(x)-\sum_{\left| \alpha \right|\leq r-1} \frac{(x-\xi)^\alpha}{\alpha!} D^\alpha f(\xi)\right| \leq CL^r \left\{ \int_0^1\sum_{\left| \alpha \right|=r} \frac{[D^\alpha f(\eta(t))]^2}{\alpha!}\, dt\right\}^{1/2}, \] where \(L\) is the length of \(\eta\) and \(C=\sqrt{\frac{r-1+n}{(2r-1)(r-1)!}}\). The article concludes with a variant of above result.
