Boundary stabilization of nonlinear vibrations of a flexible structure on a Riemannian manifold (Q360210)

The authors investigated the boundary stabilization of nonlinear vibrations of a flexible structure on a Riemannian manifold. Such stabilization results are generalized to be valid for domains \(\Omega\) in a Riemannian manifold with certain geometrical conditions. In particular, when \(\Omega\) is contained in some local chart of \((M,g)\), then the problem becomes a nonlinear system with variable coefficients defined on a bounded domain in \(\mathbb R^n\) that covers the one considered in [\textit{G. C. Gorain}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 319, No. 2, 635--650 (2006; Zbl 1098.35021)] as a special case.
