Statements
The author shows that if two meromorphic functions share four two-point sets in \({\mathbb C}\) counting multiplicity (CM), then one of them is a Möbius transform of the other, which extends Nevanlinna's well-known four-value theorem. This is the continuation of the author's previous work such as [Kodai Math. J. 29, No. 3, 475--484 (2006; Zbl 1143.30309); Kodai Math. J. 36, No. 1, 56--68 (2013; Zbl 1294.30071)] for example. To prove the theorem, the author resorts to the general theory of meromorphic functions rather than confining himself to standard value distribution theory. This paper will be useful to the researchers working on the area 30D30.
