    Given \(\alpha>-1\), let \(d A_\alpha(z)=(\alpha+1)(1-|z|^2)^\alpha d A(z)\) be the weighted ``Bergman-measure'' on the unit disk \(\mathbb D\), where \(dA\) is the normalized aera-measure in \(\mathbb C\). The authors show the following theorem: There exists a constant \(C_\alpha>0\) such that for every holomorphic self-map \(\varphi\) of \(\mathbb D\), every \(\epsilon\in ]0,1[\) and \(h>0\) sufficiently small, and every \(\xi\in \mathbb T\) \[ A_\alpha \big(\{z\in \mathbb D: \varphi(z)\in D(\xi, \epsilon h)\}\big)\leq C_\alpha \epsilon^{\alpha+2} A_\alpha \big(\{z\in \mathbb D: \varphi(z)\in D(\xi, h)\}\big). \] Here \(D(\xi,h)\) is either the disk centered at \(\xi\) or the associated Carleson square. This result is then used to characterize compactness of composition operators on weighted Bergman-Orlicz spaces.
