In the article [\textit{J. Manschot}, \textit{B. Pioline} and \textit{A. Sen}, ``Wall-crossing from Boltzmann black hole halos'', J. High Energy Physics 59 (2011)] a formula to compute the Poincaré polynomial of a smooth compact moduli space of stable quiver representations is presented. Such formula turns out to be the Euler characteristic when specializing at one, and can be calculated by recursion on a related quiver to the original quiver, obtained by splitting un the vertices in a certain way. Combining this with the localization theorem in [\textit{T. Weist}, J. Algebr. Comb. 38, No. 3, 567--583 (2013; Zbl 1278.14014)], the calculations reduce to combinatorics of counting tree shaped subquivers of the universal cover. For the Kronecker quiver (i.e. a quiver with two vertices and arrows between them), the author uses the cited ideas to give an upper bound to the Euler characteristic of moduli spaces of representations in the case of coprime dimension vector (i.e. the dimensions of vector spaces we put at each vertex are coprime numbers). This upper bound concides with the asymptotic expression conjectured by Douglas, when choosing a number of arrows large enough. The article also shows that this Euler characteristic grows exponentially. In the final section, a precise formula for some moduli spaces of representations of a Kronecker quiver are given, by considering specific recursions in the aforementioned treatment (specific partitions of the dimension vectors as expressed in the article), which shows, in particular, that if Douglas' conjecture is true, it does not suffice to consider the trivial partitions (or trivial recursions) in order to study the asymptotic behaviour of the Euler characteristic.
