The book under review is concerned with some aspects of elliptic PDEs. Here is a brief description of the contents. The book is divided into two parts. Part I. The authors start with some preliminaries about fixed-point theorems and real analysis. In Chapter 4, linear and semilinear equations, the Lax-Migram Theorem, Stampacchia's methods and subsolutions methods are given. Chapter 5 is about nonlinear Leray Lions operators. Chapter 6 is about equations with right-hand side in Lebesgue spaces, Marcinkiewicz spaces and with the right-hand side of divergence type. Chapter 7 contains results on differentiability of weak solutions. Chapter 8 is on spectral analysis for linear operators with an application to semilinear equations. Part I of the book ends with Chapter 9, which is about calculus of variations. Part II. The second part starts with Chapter 10 about equations satisfying natural growth assumptions. In Chapter 11, equations with low summability sources are treated. Entropic solutions are introduced and a comparison with distributional solutions is given. Chapter 12 deals with a uniqueness results for measure sources. The book ends with Chapter 13, on a problem with polynomial growth, and Chapter 14, which is on a problem with degenerate coercivity. The book is well written and can be used in a PhD program on partial differential equations.
