The product \(xy\) of any two \(2A\) elements \(x,y\) of the Monster belongs to one of the nine conjugacy classes \(1A\), \(2A\), \(3A\), \(4A\), \(5A\), \(6A\), \(4B\), \(2B\), or \(3C\), which correspond to the nine nodes of the extended \(E_8\)-diagram. This property of the \(2A\) elements of the Monster was first observed by John McKay. Later, \textit{G. Glauberman} and \textit{S. P. Norton} [in: Proceedings on Moonshine and related topics. CRM Proc. Lect. Notes. 30, 37-42 (2001; Zbl 0999.20011)] added a \(2B\) element \(z\) commuting with \(x\) and \(y\) and noticed that the quotient group of the centralizer of \(x,y,z\) in the Monster by \(O_2\) looks like half the Weyl group of the root systems obtained by removing the corresponding node from the extended \(E_8\)-diagram. Let \(x,y\) be \(2A\) elements and \(z\) a \(2B\) element such that \(z\) commutes with \(x\) and \(y\). In [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 215, No. 5, 927-948 (2011; Zbl 1213.17028); J. Algebra 331, No. 1, 338-361 (2011; Zbl 1283.20009)] the authors discussed the cases where \(xy\) belongs to \(3C\) and \(5A\). In the paper under review the \(3A\) and \(6A\) cases are studied. In the \(3A\) case, it is shown that the triples \((x,y,z)\) are conjugate to each other in the Monster and the quotient group of the centralizer of \(x,y,z\) by \(O_2\) looks like half the Weyl group of type \(A_2+E_6\). In the \(6A\) case, the set of triples \((x,y,z)\) is divided into two conjugacy classes. It turns out that the quotient group of the centralizer of \(x,y,z\) by \(O_2\) does not look like half the Weyl group of type \(A_5+A_2+A_1\).
