In this paper, the authors consider a quasilinear degenerate elliptic equation in half-spaces involving the \(p\)-Laplacian operator and a power-type potential function. They study the monotonicity properties of the solutions when \(p>2\). For this, they obtain weak comparison principles in narrow domains\(.\) The main merit of this work is to provide a quantitative version of the weighted Poincaré type inequality i.e. the measure how the Poincaré constant blow-up when the solution approaches zeros and prove some Liouville-type theorems.
