An erratum note on the paper: Positive periodic solution for Brillouin electron beam focusing system (Q379036)

The authors point out an error in the paper [\textit{J. Ren}, \textit{Z. Cheng} and \textit{S. Siegmund}, Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst., Ser. B 16, No. 1, 385--392 (2011; Zbl 1242.34072)]. As a consequence, the problem of the existence of a positive periodic solution to the Brillouin electron beam focusing system NEWLINE\[NEWLINEx''+ a(1+\cos 2t)x= x^{-1}NEWLINE\]NEWLINE for \(0< a< 1\) is still open.
