The author considers a system of 3 reaction-diffusion equations with constant time delay and Dirichlet boundary conditions. Using the standard techniques of bifurcation theory (detection of a Hopf bifurcation, dimension reduction by center manifold theory and normal form computation) it can be shown, that a supercritical branch of stable periodic solutions bifurcates from the steady state. For different values of the involved parameters several simulation results are displayed.NEWLINENEWLINESince the involved equations look quite similar, one would like to know, whether there are some symmetries involved in the model, which are not elaborated in more detail.
