An annulus confined between two long horizontal and eccentric tubes contains an incompressible micropolar fluid. The inner wall is maintained at constant heat flux, while the outer is kept at constant temperature. Assuming the Boussinesq aproximation for the density of the fluid, the resulting buoyancy-driven flow in the annulus is examined by expansion in Fourier series. The study shows that the steady mean temperature of the inner wall is increased by the vortex viscosity and decreased by the Prandtl number, and that this temperature has a peak for a certain eccentricity.
