Homogenization of a highly heterogeneous elastic-viscoelastic composite materials (Q382058)

The author studies, using the method of two-scale convergence, the homogenization of a family of problems describing the behaviour of some highly heterogeneous elastic-viscoelastic composite material. The material is divided in three regions, two of them are connected and filled with linear elastic materials, the third is a thin layer filled by a viscoelastic material. Each of the three parts, inside the periodicity cell, has the same order \(\varepsilon\), which is the order of the periodicity, while the stiffness tensor of the third layer is proportional to \(\varepsilon^r\) and the viscosity tensor is proportional to \(\varepsilon^s\).
