The authors study locally pseudoconvex inductive limits of topological algebras, in particular, of locally pseudoconvex \(F\)-algebras (viz. complete and metrizable topological ones). They show that the study of locally pseudoconvex algebras \((E, \tau)\) which are inductive limits of locally pseudoconvex \(F\)-algebras, and where \(\tau\) coincides with the locally pseudoconvex inductive limit topology on \(E\), can be reduced to the study of \(\mathcal{LF}pg\)-algebras. The latter are defined by means of inductive limits of locally pseudoconvex \(F\)-algebras while their topology is appropriately chosen, too. In the relative result, and at the end of its proof, instead of ``\(\mathcal{LF}p\)-algebra'' they certainly mean ``\(\mathcal{LF}pg\)-algebra'', while the announced relative result for \(\mathcal{LF}p\)-algebras is not included in the present paper. They also look at quotients and direct products of some topological algebras. For instance, it is shown that the quotient of an \(\mathcal{LF}pg\)-algebra modulo a closed two-sided ideal (under the quotient topology) is an algebra of the same type. Further, the direct product of two (complete) \(k\)-\(\mathcal{LF}\)-algebras, \(k \in (0,1]\) (these are also certain inductive limits of an increasing sequence of appropriate \(F\)-algebras) is (under the product topology) a topological algebra of the same type with the factors. They also note that the last result does not depend on how the multiplication in the direct product is defined. As a consequence, they conclude that the unitization of a topological algebra, as before, is a (complete) \(k\)-\(\mathcal{LF}\)-algebra, as well.
